Kız çocukları için okullaşmanın arttırılmasını amaçlayan hibe programı için başvurular başladı. Güneydoğu, Doğu Anadolu, Karadeniz ve İç Anadolu’dan sivil toplum kuruluşları, okullar, belediyeler ve KOBİ lerin katılabileceği programın toplam bütçesi 10 milyon euro. Her projeye 50 bin ile 150 bin Euro arasında destek verilecek.

“Özellikle Kız Çocuklarının Okullaşma Oranının Arttırılması Hibe Programı”, Eğitim kalitesinin arttırılmasını, eğitim ve iş piyasası arasındaki bağın kuvvetlendirilmesini ve başta kız çocuklarının olmak üzere her düzeyde okullaşma oranlarının yükseltilmesi suretiyle insan kaynağına yapılan yatırımın arttırılmasını amaçlamaktadır.

Increasing School Enrolment Rates Especially for Girls Grant Scheme

The Central Finance and Contracts Unit on behalf of the Republic of Turkey is seeking proposals for grant projects implemented in Turkey with the financial assistance from the European Communities Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA) for Turkey. This Call for Proposals aims to enhance investment in human capital by increasing the quality of education, improving the linkage between education and the labor market, and raising enrolment rates at all levels of education, especially for girls in the NUTS II regions stated below.

Grants will be made available for the following priority themes:

-       To increase enrolment rates particularly for girls in secondary education and VET,

-       To decrease school drop-outs particularly for girls,

-       To increase the quality of vocational and psychological guidance services,

-       To increase vocational skills and competences of labour force, particularly of girls and women, with a view to increasing their possibility to enrolling to open education institutions,

-       To promote awareness-raising activities for parents on the importance of education especially for girls, with the participation of local administrations, NGOs and the media.

Although Turkish version of the Guidelines and annexes are also provided, please note that in the event of any contentious issues arising, it is the English text which is the legal reference.

The signature of the grant contract is subject to:

• the adoption by the Commission of a decision conferring management powers to the relevant authorities of the beneficiary country within a defined time limit, and
• the conclusion of a Financing Agreement between the Commission and the beneficiary country, which can only take place after the conferral of management in accordance with Article 232 of the Implementing Rules to the Financial Regulation.

The deadline for submission of proposals is 15.10.2009 at 4:00 p.m. (local time).
